A museum in China is creating realistic humanoid robots with veins and goosebumps on their skin.
In DALIAN, CHINA, the EX Future and Science Museum utilizes advanced robotics technology to make customizable robots as true-to-life as possible. They aim to integrate research, design, display, manufacturing, and development.
The museum scans the physical features of people to create dynamic, customized 3D robots. The skin is made of medical-grade bionic silicone and has goosebumps on the skin, veins on the feet, and palm lines.
According to Yuli, a Chinese journalist who toured the grounds of the museum, ” It felt like entering a science-fiction movie scene.”
Furthermore, Robots resembling historical figures like Albert Einstein and Steve Jobs are exhibited in the museum, and people are allowed to dialogue with them. It is also possible for people to customize androids of their choice.
Current products at the museum are mainly for exhibition and educational purposes, Though there are plans to release these bionic humanoid robots to the service sector.
