Samsung Z Flip 4 Review

A new era of foldable smartphones is here, with Samsung leading the way. They have released the latest technology, The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4.

At first glance, the Z flip 4 looks a lot like its predecessor, the Z flip 3. It seems Samsung decided to change more on the inside than the outside of the phone.

DESIGN

The flip 4 has a new matte finish, making it less slippery compared to other Samsung phones. It also has a foldable inner screen and a mini outer screen that you can use when the device is folded.

The design of the phone is very similar to the Z flip 3 with only some little changes as the amour aluminum hinge for folding is slimmer, there is also a slimmer bar around the inner display of the phone which gives it a nicer viewing experience compared to the flip 3.

DISPLAY

The inner display is the exact 6.7 Dynamic foldable AMOLED 2X 1080p resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate like the Z flip 3.

When the Z flip 4 is folded, there is a small 1.9 Super AMOLED display that can act as an always-on display used to operate limited functionality of the phone, such as notifications, music, date, and time settings.

STORAGE

The Z flip 4 has three major storage options, 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB, with an 8GB RAM. When purchasing, you choose the one that best suits your needs.

SOFTWARE AND UI

The UI is built on Samsung’s One UI 4.1.1 on top of Android version 12; this makes the UI (User Interaction) snappy and clean. When the phone is partially folded, it allows dual screen and the use of two different apps simultaneously. The Samsung Z flip 4 comes with the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.

BATTERY

The Samsung Galaxy Flip 4 runs on a 3700mAh battery that gives it more than three hours of active time compared to the Z flip 3, and the battery can charge from 0% to 100% in an hour.

CAMERA

When you have a look at the Z flip 3 and flip 4 cameras, they look the same, but there has been an improvement to the 12 Megapixel main camera and 12 Megapixel ultra-wide camera, and 10 Megapixel selfie camera as the main camera now has a larger 1.8-micrometer sensor and a wider 24-millimeter lens. You can also take frame-adjustable pictures on the foldable display.

Going for $1,000, the Samsung Z Flip 4 is one of the top-rated phones in the market now. What do your think about the Z Flip 4? Are the features available worth the price or overpriced?
