The First Edition Pixel Watch by Google Is Here!
The highly anticipated watch series was released this month at $349 or $399, depending on the watch type you want to purchase. Google partnered with great tech companies such as Fitbit to create this wonder.
The watch was introduced by James Park, Fitbit CEO, to show just how great of a product it is.
Here is what to expect when you buy the Google Pixel watch, as it was displayed at the launch.
Display
The Google Pixel Watch has an always-on AMOLED 320PPI display on a Gorilla Glass screen. There are over 18 customizable watch faces available for display.
Physical Features
Although there are two models of the Pixel Watch ( WiFi and LTE), they are all the same size at 41mm. A button and a digital crown are attached to the screen’s side, allowing you to power on and off and navigate through the watch. The band attached to the watch can be customized to come in either leather, woven, or metal, depending on the one you prefer.
Battery
This watch can last for 24 hours of active display use when fully charged. Its 294 MAh battery takes about 80 minutes to become fully charged.
Software
The Pixel watch runs on Google Wear OS 3.5 with 32 ROM and 2GB of SDRAM. It has a built-in GPS that helps track users’ movement, as well as an integrated Fitbit health monitor.
There is a lot of Google technology, such as the Google Play store, Google Wallet, Google Assistant, etc.
There are some downsides to the pixel watch. For instance, it cannot be connected to an Apple device as the integration has not been seamless due to Apple’s restrictions on some of its apps.
Note: all this information was presented by Google and has not yet been tested in day-to-day life, but we hope it lives up to all its expectations.
