ChatKJV is the latest innovation developed by a Nigerian developer, Andrew Miracle. The young creator builds an Artificial Intelligence app enlarging the “wings” of technology in religion. The AI app responds to emotions and situations using a corresponding bible verse.
ChatKJV uses GPT3, a third–generation Generative Pre-trained Transformer that uses a trained machine learning model to generate text and other text intelligence models such as Large Language Model (LLM) and Pathways Language Model (PaLM).
Generation AI app like ChatGPT uses similar programming designs. According to the creator, ChatKJV uses Curie and Davinci GPT models; the Curie GPT model gives the commentary while Davinci presents the scripture.
Although ChatKJV has little glitches in giving less accurate responses sometimes, its overall responses fit well to the situation at hand when tested.
When emotional statements are expressed, the owner shares the ‘ChatKJV’ experience on the Twitter account. For example,
“I hope God is seeing what is happening in Nigeria”.
ChatKJV responds;
“Isaiah 45:19 says, I have not spoken in secret, in a land of darkness; I did not say to the seed of Jacob, seek me in vain. This verse reminds us that God is aware of all that is happening in the world, even in places like Nigeria. He is in control and will never leave us in the dark”.
Another chat with ChatKJV;
“I’m anxious about the election results.”
The Artificial Intelligence app replied;
“It is important to remember not to be anxious about anything but in every situation by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God (Philippians 4:26). This verse encourages us to put our faith in God and trust that whatever happens will turn out for the best”.
Someone asked for its suggestion on whether to change careers. ChatKJV admitted that it was unfamiliar with the subject and could not offer any advice.
It added that;
“I do however, have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the bible. If you have a related question, I would be more than happy to help”.
ChatKJV does not just reply with scriptures but also adds commentary support.
Searching on Playstore, ChatKJV has yet to be available for download, but there are plans to make it available online.
The creator, Miracle, disclosed the drawback to publishing ChatKJV. He stated that the challenge in releasing the app for public use is due to inadequate funds, as it presently relies on donations. He also said, “If it is going to survive on donations, then, for how long.” He added that sustainability is vital to making the app readily available.
