How Apple Pay Is Taking Over Traditional Payments

As we all strive for ease in this age and time, Apple has made it their top priority to produce the kind of system in which the only thing you will need to get through your day is your mobile device.

Apple Wallet, since its creation, has worked towards replacing physical wallets and even banks, making most of the available features seamless and easy to use.

One of those features is Apple Pay.

Apple Pay is a virtual wallet and a way individuals store and syncs their credit cards with Apple, It can be used across multiple iOS devices, i.e., iPhones, iPods, iPads, MacBooks, and watches.

So, instead of individuals having to move with credit cards every time to make payments, they can pay using phones and the secure Apple Pay platforms.

Many individuals have confirmed that they are more comfortable using Apple Pay than other third-party wallet platforms. You can pay a lot of bills using Apple Pay, such as transportation tickets, streaming platforms, tuition, etc.

This year’s annual Apple convention announced several new features for Apple Pay and the Apple Wallet.

First is the Apple tap to pay. Here, merchants can receive payments across iPhones with just a tap, and no additional hardware is required, enabling merchants to receive secured payments as fast as possible.

Another new feature available is the Apple Pay Later feature. It is an on-demand credit application platform that helps users pay for goods or services upfront while they pay in installments through Apple Pay.

It can be divided into four installments over six weeks, with users expected to pay the first installment upfront. The fantastic thing about this feature is that no charges or profits are attached to these payments.

After making payments using Apple Pay, users can also track their merchandise using “order tracking,” which is now available on the wallet app.

Another amazing feature now available is the wallet ID, which takes in a person’s ID and makes it available for verification. This ID is also available for apps that require concrete user identification before registration.

Note: This feature is only available and accepted in specific locations for the time being.

As user privacy and security are critical, Apple ensures that not all information but only needed data is accessible to these apps. Also, virtual keys can now be used on iPhones and shared with loved ones if they need access to your home, car, and workplace.
