Google’s Pixel 7 and 7 Pro

Ever since Google introduced its first Pixel smartphone in 2016, the company has not stopped unveiling smarter digital gadgets.

Recently, Google released its latest android devices in New York City at a Google event – Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro and Google Pixel Watch; comparing Google’s recent devices, one may almost be indecisive on which to choose.

While others set their preference by price, a handful of people are driven by peculiarity. One inconspicuous difference is that the Pixel 7 Pro has a larger screen size with a high-quality 6.7-inch screen display, while the Pixel 7 has a 6.3-inch screen display, also with sound-quality graphics.

It seems that the tech company had a clear plan of product disparity before design because even though Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 7 have similar features, the difference in operational parameters is glaring, though Google speculates that both devices can last up to 24 hours without charging.

Pixel 7 pro has an inbuilt 12GB RAM with an extra 512GB storage and a battery capacity of 5000mAh, unlike Pixel 7, which comes only with 8GB RAM, with either 128 or 256GB storage and a battery capacity of 4355mAh.

Both android devices also support Nano SIM, eSIM, and wireless charging with an Android 13 OS and Google Tensor G2 custom chipset processor for accelerated AI functioning.

Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro may both have 50MP wide 12MP ultra–wide lenses with a 10.8MP selfie cam but the Pixel 7 Pro support an extra 48MP telephoto lens, creating another distinguishing feature between both devices.

Pixel 7 is only available in three colours; Snow, Obsidian, and New Lemon Grass, while Pixel 7 Pro is in Snow, Obsidian, and Hazel, priced at $599 and $899.

Comparing Google Pixel 6 Pro to Pixel 7 Pro does not make much difference. One of the obvious distinguishing features is the phone’s weight, and Pixel 6 Pro weighs 210g, while Pixel Pro 7 weighs 212g.

Although Pixel 6 Pro is upgradable to Android 13, it comes with Android 12, unlike the Pixel 7 Pro, which has an Android 13 operating system.

One of the distinguishing features between Pixel 6 and 7 is the USB Type; Pixel 6 comes with USB Type – C 3.1, but Pixel 7 has a USB Type – C 3.2, and both have fast wireless charging of 21W and 20W and support reverse charging, respectively.

What do you think of the newest addition to the Google line? Do you think it’s an upgrade from its predecessors? Is it a match for the latest iPhone?
