Kanye West To Buy Social Media Platform ‘Parler’

American rapper and fashion designer Ye, also known as Kanye West, has always been a trendsetter, and to add to his collection of properties and investments, he has decided to acquire the social media platform Parler.

For those unfamiliar with the social media platform, you might ask questions like, “What is Parler?”

Well, Parler is a conservative social media platform launched in September 2018. This social network essentially works like Twitter; its entire user experience design and execution is very similar to the Bird App, but its users are allowed to speak freely without any fear of being banned.

Due to its views on not censoring user views, it has become a haven for people who have been suspended from other social media platforms. The platform currently has over 16 million registered users, but for the past year, they have been quiet due to their removal from Amazon Web Services, Google Play, and the Apple App Store. But a new day seems to be dawning as Parler recently made an official announcement on its platform stating, “Parlement Technologies is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement in principle for Ye,(formerly known as Kanye West). to acquire the Parler platform. “

Ye has been on and off suspension on many mainstream social media Apps for some time now. He has been suspended on Twitter indefinitely, and on Instagram, he has limited access, especially when posting content.

With all these social media limitations, the owner of Yeezy has resulted in purchasing a platform of his own, hence his move to buy Parler. He made his intentions known in a statement where he said, “In a world where conservative opinions are considered controversial, we have to make sure we have the right to freely express ourselves.”

For this deal to push through and become a successful enterprise, a lot of work needs to be done, as it seems that even Ye has been facing some internal battles of his own. Many influential sponsors like Adidas, JP Morgan Chase, and Gap have recently announced they are ending their relationship with the Yeezy empire.

This implies Kanye will need more measures to push the Parler platform to greater heights due to its cancellation.

What do you think about this deal? Will it flourish and make Parler the number one free speech platform, or will it fade over time as others have?
