The Best Of CES 2023

In the first week of January 2023, CES showcased all of its latest innovative technologies. CES is an acronym for Consumer Electronics Show, a yearly event that showcases tech manufacturers, developers, tech content and delivery systems, creating the platform to show the world their best and latest products.

The best of this year’s CES, captioned below, appears to be a peep into the future of technology, creating a mouthwatering experience as more mind-blowing technologies were unveiled.

BMW i Vision Digital Emotional Experience (DEE)

Changing the colour of your car as you do in car racing games is no longer a virtual experience, as BMW unveiled the BMW i Vision Dee at CES 2023, displaying the colour-changing car that uses E ink technology with about 240 E Ink panels that support up to 32 different colour change.

The E Ink exterior has several segments that is controlled separately, allowing for different varieties of design and patterns with just a push of a button. Using AI, the car can exhibited some animated features, somewhat like an ‘eye blinking’ of the headlight flash to attract passersby when someone in the vehicle needs urgent medical attention.

LG Signature Wireless OLED TV

Can you set your television like a dressing mirror without connecting wires? It is possible with LG Signature Wireless OLED TV, which has the ability to receive signals wirelessly.

The 97-inch OLED TV can deliver real-time video and wireless audio transmission up to 4k 120Hz. Unlike conventional TVs, this OLED TV comes with an external device known as ‘a zero connect box’, which allows for input ports that receive signals through connecting wires.

The external device transmits the signal wirelessly to the 97-inch screen for quality audiovisual output. The zero-connect box comes with multiple ports for plugging in HDMI devices and can wirelessly connect with compatible sound systems for more quality and cable-free use. With the zero connect box, users can enjoy a distraction-free viewing environment with a cleaner room, removing the conventional cable entanglement of conventional TVs.

The zero connect box has a voice recognition feature designed for users’ convenience to command the TV using simple spoken words.

Is LG Signature Wireless OLED TV powered wirelessly?

Television technology has yet to reach that level to receive wireless power transmission without charging compartments and batteries.

Lenovo Yoga

Lenovo Yoga Book 9i is the latest dual-screen laptop that allows for bends and twists. With Lenovo Yoga Book 9i, users can still take advantage of the full laptop experience along with the flexibility and multitasking functions of its dual screen.

Users can watch videos on one screen and surf the internet on the second screen at the same time without functionality interruptions.

Users can also enjoy the detachable Bluetooth keyboard, which is suitable for corporate use.

U-Scan

An integrated toilet system for urinary analysis is what U-Scan aims to achieve. It helps to monitor health and assist people who run frequent urinary analysis to keep track of their health. It collects urine samples for analysis providing clinical results for monitoring metabolic and reproductive health.

The home-use urine lab is fixed to a WC and uses a thermal sensor to differentiate between urine and water. U-Scan can also predict the distance and movement of a user using its low radar.

Razer Leviathan V2 Pro

Introducing the sound bar with “an eye” just for focusing on its listeners, Razer Leviathan V2 Pro is built with an IP camera system that tracks the eyes, nose, mouth and ear of listeners as they move to enable the auto-directed sound flow. The device is designed for PC use but can still be used for TVs.

Lenovo’s Thinkbook Twist Laptop

Lenovo unveiled its twistable dual-screen laptop with a 13.3 inch 2.8K resolution OLED touchscreen and a 12-inch colour E Ink touchscreen on the backside. The twist laptop supports digital note-taking with a pen. It has Intel’s 13th Generation CPUs with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB of PCle Generation 4 SSD. It supports a full HD resolution webcam, fingerprint reader, WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1, and a battery capacity of 56Whr.

Afeela Electric Car

Afeela explores sensor and AI technologies to design a car that can drive without a human driver. The electric car is also built with radar, ultrasonic camera and lidar on its exterior to function autonomously. Sony and Honda have partnered to hit Afeela electric car to the road by 2026 and it will first be released for sale in the United States. Before 2026, there is a high expectation that more features may be added to the design.

With these innovative technologies, do you think we are almost at the peak of technology?
